TMR type magnetic sensors (GIGS®)

TMR type magnetic sensors "GIGS®(nano-Granular In Gap magnetic Sensors)", This unique sensor, GIGS works with 1/100 of power than the conventional magnetic sensors and is 10 times smaller in size, using the TMR effect that a reluctance rate of change is bigger than the conventional GMR magnetic sensors.

TMR type sensors: energy saving, small, high sensitivity, wide range of magnetic perception is possible.

Featur of TMR type magnetic sensors "GIGS®"

  • Sensitivity and resistance value can be set separately each other.
  • Resistance is in inverse proportion to gap width.
  • The sensitivity is adjusted in aspect ratio of Yoke.
  • Extremely stable sensitivity curves of the hysteresis is provided even if resistance value and sensitivity are changed.
  • High magnetic reluctance ratio
    • Magnetic reluctance ratio (6~10%)
  • Low electric consumption with high electric resistance.
    • 80kΩ~600kΩ

    • Element : Less than 1mm

Example of usage GIGS®

GIGS can be a substitute of strong magnetic MR / GMR, Hall sensor, since it is small size with high sensitivity, output and low electric consumption.

Function of GIGS®

GIGS® provides high sensitivity (high reluctance ratio), since yoke reacts sensitively to the outside magnetic field and magnetizes "high resistance nano Granular film" efficiently.
